Sustainability community breakfasts

January 6, 2008

If you find yourself at BCIT’s downtown campus at 555 Seymour Street, check out the next monthly breakfast meeting on Wednesday, January 16, which is on the Vancouver Foundation’s Vital Signs 2007 Report.

The original purpose of these breakfasts was to share information and build momentum leading up to the World Urban Forum 3 in June 2006, promote communication around ancillary events, facilitate networking and combine forces on local, regional, and national interests into an action-oriented, Vancouver based, sustainability community. The breakfasts provide an ongoing opportunity for network and partnership building, promote awareness and understanding of urban sustainability challenges and developments and bring together individuals and organizations interested in the sustainability of the region. Each breakfast typically features one or more major presentations, as well as updates on on-going projects. As interest in enhancing the sustainability of the lower mainland increases, more people in the private, public, academic and not-for-profit sectors are working on sustainability-related projects. RSVP to: breakfast@metrovancouver.org  For more information, visit: http://www.gvrd.bc.ca/sustainability/breakfast.html

The next topic on 05 February will be Taking Action on Climate Change 3.
